Chicago Loses Stars • Michelin Guide 2012 vs. 2011 Comparison
Last year Chicago had 2 3-star, 3 2-star restaurants. This year we have 1 3-star & 2-2star restaurants. So net Chicago loses stars.
I guess the assumption was that having a Michelin Red Guide all to ourselves would raise the bar for everyone. Apparently either we're entirely complacent or our idea of a raised bar is not compatible with Michelin. Since they famously don't disclose their criteria, I guess we can make our own assumptions.
L2O lost 2 stars. That's pretty big news. The list and highlighted changes follow:
