Drink.Think, a Drink Writers Showcase

Got some love for Chicago writers? How about a thirst for great stories about cocktails, wine, beer, coffee and tea? Then consider dropping by Drink.Think, a showcase event for drink writers to be held on Tuesday, April 23, at Tavernita – 151 W. Erie St, Chicago, IL.

Several Chicago-area writers and journalists will be regaling tales and reading some of their favorite work, so come say “Hello” and support this city’s fine tippler talkers while enjoying a couple drinks and laughs yourself. A number of Chicago Foodies’ very own will be there and Dave McCowan — Hey that’s me! — will give a quick reading about one of his favorite topics: the intersection of monkeys and oolong tea.

The event starts with drinks at 6:00 and readings will begin at 7:00 pm. Admission is free and folks from Jim Beam will be on hand to offer samples of Knob Creek and Jacob’s Ghost whiskies. Drinks and food will be also be available for purchase.

Curated by wine and spirits writer Kara Newman, participants include:

Come out, enjoy a cocktail, and hear drink and food writers read from their work about beverages – the first literary event dedicated to celebrating what we drink!
