Niche Food Blogs: Eating Off the People's Princess

April 01 2010 - 8:47 AM

Diritos  Over the past couple years, there has been an overwhelming proliferation of food blogs. Many of these focus on recipes, or restaurant news, or sustainable food issues…but then then there are those whose purpose we can most kindly define as niche. Some capitalize on ingenious puns, like Scanwiches. Some are practical in intent, like Jaws Wired Shut, designed by a woman who underwent jaw surgery and needed to find creative ways to feed herself through a tube for six weeks. Others are more whimsical in nature, such as Waffleizer, dedicated exploring the question "Will It Waffle?" (Some answers: bread pudding requires twice-waffling, bibimbaffle waffles reasonably well to produce crisped-bottom rice)

Today, I am here to introduce the ultimate niche food blog: Eating Off the People's Princess, which combines food puns with Lady Diana. To the side, you see "a crown of Di-ritos." Ah, I love the Internet.
A few more examples after the jump:
