Monday Night Dinner Deal – Vines on Clark

April 06 2009 - 12:57 PM

There are so many great deals to be had during the week that it makes economical sense to go out big on a Monday night.  Walking up and down Clark street recently most places were dead or closed pre- baseball season except Vines on Clark, who was in full swing due to their Monday “neighborhood appreciation night” where you can enjoy three dollar drinks on just about anything – your call.

You also get half off everything on the food menu as well as half off any glass or bottle of wine.  The dinning room has a sports bar meets Colorado ski lodge feel.  The menu isn’t overly creative but has a solid offering of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, pastas and flatbread pizzas that can be paired with over 20 wines by the bottle or glass.

Our server recommended their New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc to pair with the turkey panini and Guinness battered onion rings.  The bouncy castle for sale panini was big enough for two and prepared well with smoked turkey, pepper bacon, tomato, avocado, provolone and romaine with chili garlic mayonnaise and served with a tangy southwest dipping sauce for the rings and sandwich.  It not only was a great deal for just eight dollars (half off the sandwich and wine) but a pretty tasty one as well.

Monday night dinner deal:
$3 “you call it” drinks
1/2 off food and wine menu
