Your Sommelier: The Next Batman?

For the wine and restaurant-obsessed, 'sommelier' probably ranks near the top of the list of cool dream jobs. Sampling, analyzing, learning about wine (and getting paid to do it) doesn't sound like a bad gig when you ignore the long hours and extensive training sessions. But the general population still has a hard time pronouncing, let alone understanding, the job of a sommelier. That's changing quickly, especially in Asia, in large part due to a manga called "The Drops of God," a humorous, artistic comic strip about sommeliers. Now available in the U.S., a book of the collected strips is an enjoyable read for oenophiles and newbies alike.
