5th Annual Food Film Fest Chicago

The Food Film Fest, which is the only film festival in the world where guests taste what they see on the screen, returns to Chicago this week! From November 19th-November 22nd at Kendall College you can experience five events featuring more than 20 food films, including 15 Chicago premieres.

Event highlights include:

Wednesday, November 19th: The Great Chicken Wing Hunt

Chicago will get a taste of the best chicken wing in the country—as chosen by the award-winning The Great Chicken Wing Hunt film, and every other flavor of wing seen on screen. The chefs at Kendall College will be frying up 2500 chicken wings!

Thursday, November 20th: Edible Adventure #012 Sriracha & More

Enjoy a film explaining exactly how this condiment is angling to take Ketchup’s place in the hearts and minds of Americans while chowing down on Sriracha tacos, Sriracha shots, Sriracha pasta, Sriracha Jam and more.

Friday, November 21st: The Night Aquatic

This night brings Ramen Burger creator and global sensation Keizo Shimamoto with a world-premiere Seafood Ramen. Foods and films that showcase the ocean’s bounty, including squid, sea urchin, crab, oysters, sushi and more, will be served.

Saturday, November 22nd: #ILoveBeer 

Craft, a feature-length film that traces the history of craft brewing in America will play while viewers are sipping what they see on screen.  Food Film Fest has managed to procure beers from top brewers including: Two Brothers, Stone, Half Acre, Smuttynose, Anderson Valley, and Begyle.

Saturday, November 22nd: The Food Porn Party 

The world’s first Food Porn Star, Larry Cauldwell, returns to host and will screen his brand-new short, Balls! Festival co-founder George Motz brings his new film on Brooklyn’s beloved pitmaster Billy Durney of Hometown BBQ. Billy is bringing his smoker to give Chicagoans their first taste of his unparalleled mastery of low and slow cooking.
