Lincoln Square Beer Festival At Dank Haus

January 11 2012 - 1:50 PM

Winter hasn't been that tough on us yet but don't take that to mean there isn't trouble ahead.  You could be experiencing the winter blahs before you know it if you aren't already.  And if you're already in the doldrums over winter, well, you clearly live  in the wrong city.  But there is hope.  There's a sure-fire means of coping out there and it's called beer.  In fact, the denizens of Lincoln Square want to remind you of the healing power of beer through their winter beer fest starting at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2011, at the Dank Haus on Western Avenue in the Lincoln Square neighborhood.

Featured at the festival will be local brews including some specialties and collaborations from Finch's Brewery, 5 Rabbit, Half Acre, Metropolitan, and Revolution.  Allegedly, Revolution will be tapping its Black Power barrel aged stout at this event.  Finch's is said to be collaborating with City Provisions market on a beer.  Food is on the agenda too, apparently being prepared by Fountainhead and The Grafton.

Entry tickets are $10 and you can purchase extra tickets for food and beer.  The good news is that you'll be able to get 2 oz. pours of beer to avoid committing to something weird, bland, or ungodly brutal.  Larger sizes are available for the brave or for when you find something to your liking.
