There are many events to look forward to this week including the kickoff of craft beer week and tasting the winners of the meatball recipe contest.

Tuesday, May 17:

The Publican

Taste an assortment of beers from Founders brewery at The Publican on Tuesday night. For $25, guests can taste six different beers from Founders along with small plates off of The Publican's menu.

The event lasts from 3:30 – 10:30 p.m.

Chicago French Market

Join Chef Meg Colleran Sahs from 12 – 1 p.m. for a cooking demo featuring a dish made with ingredients from the French market. The event is free and open for all to attend.

Wednesday, May 18:

North Pond

Join author Rowan Jacobsen for a five-course meal and discussion of his book "Shadows on the Gulf: A Journey Through Our Last Great Wetland". Jacobsen is a James Beard winning-author and has written for publications including Newsweek and the New York Times.

The dinner includes oysters, blue crab, Gulf shrimp, and more and costs $85. For and additional $35, guests may add a wine pairing. Jacobsen's book will also be available for purchase and signing.

Sunday, May 22:

The Rosebud

The Rosebud held a meatball recipe contest in late April and the winner's have been announced. On Sunday evening, guests will have the opportunity to sample the restaurant's meatball recipe finalists along with live music. 

The winner will be chosen that evening. The event begins at 2 p.m. and is free to attend.
