Bacardi at the Park

April 12 2011 - 2:00 PM

2011-04-11_18-56-23_19 I was very excited to try the new restaurant, Bacardi at the Park, when I went to the Sox game last night. Located right next to Gate 5, this hip-interior sports bar has a fun atmosphere and good beer.

Gibson's Restaurant Group owns Bacardi at the Park. They have a small menu with typical bar food including brisket nachos, a barbecue pulled pork sandwich, and smoked baby-back ribs. The food is priced between $7-10.

I was unfortunately in a hurry and could only try the brisket nachos.

The nachos took less than 10 minutes to arrive to my bar seat.

They do have very good service.

I was not overly impressed with the nachos. There was barely any brisket and the nachos were covered with pickled peppers. The peppers overpowered the plate and took over the flavor.

The two men sitting next to me really enjoyed their nachos and their pulled pork sandwich. It's possible I just got a bad batch.

2011-04-11_18-58-37_717 I will have to give the nachos, and the rest of their menu, another chance.

Overall, Bacardi at the Park is a fun spot to hang out and have a drink before and after the game.

They have good beers on draft including Leinenkugel's Summer Shandy and Blue Moon.

If you're at the Sox game, check it out!

They're open from 11 am-2 am, with food served until 11 pm, on game days. They are closed on non-game days.
