McDonald's to Launch 'French-Fried Veggies'

Looks like it will take McDonald's help to get our country to eat their veggies. McDonald's will be launching veggies as an alternative to fries.

For ease of eating they will be dry-steamed then quick fried. Why on earth they need to be fried is beyond me but apparently:

What was remarkable in testing was not that health-conscious eaters were excited by a vegetable option but that, when fried, casual diners enjoyed the option as well.

The question I have is whether asparagus farming will take off and how Idaho feels about all of this.

I was just about to write something different and then I looked at the date. I too almost thought it was real.
