If for some reason you were not able to make it out by March 17th to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, you have until the end of the week to enjoy cheap Guinness and shepherds pie at the Ole St. Andrew’s Inn. This Edgewater favorite is keeping the Guinness flowing all week at just $4 per pint. $4 will also get you a pint of Smithwick’s or a shot of Jameson. Traditional Irish fare is on the menu to include their standard fish and chips with jalapeno tarter sauce, shepherds pie and corned beef and cabbage, each for just under $10.
Friday night is one of the best times to go to St. Andrew’s Inn for the all you can eat fish and chips. The jalapeno tarter sauce is unique and addicting with a great punch of hot and tangy. The real highlight is the jazz trio playing from 6PM to 9PM. Bass, keyboard and vocals bring the place alive with jazz standards. The crowd clears after the last set. The pub atmosphere is great for any night of the week with a golf themed décor of St. Andrew’s golf course in Scotland. There is a food special every day as well as Sunday brunch. The menu is very eclectic and I haven’t had a chance to try everything but the Friday night jazz trio and fish and chips will keep me coming back.
