This week I picked up from Whole Foods a delicious, creamy reblochon. With similar characteristics to Brie, it is an edible rind, creamy cow's milk cheese. A bit more yellowish in color, runny, more full bodied, and more buttery than Brie with just a hint of stink this would make a fantastic cocktail party cheese. According to cheese web sites, this was a response to create a cheese in the style of reblochon but still passes the U.S.'s raw milk ban for young cheese.

Thanks for the tip on Costco. I don't have a membership (because I don't own a car), but it's good to know. The markups at Whole Foods on some things are astronomical.

I wonder what year that was because my parents got six-foot heroes for just about every party I can remember as a kid. I'm going to investigate. Stay tuned or help me out by Commenting below.
