* Sabri is recovering from a fire late November. They are not currently open.
My entertainment book coupon expires on November first. I went to Sabri Nehari this evening. When push comes to shove and you have several expiring coupons you can tell where your allegiences lie. I thought what could be better than Nehari and chicken makhni? I mean it's basically orange and black. How festive!
A casual flip through the menu brought me to a curiousity. A sticker was stuck in between 2 printed entree options that read Kunnah Paya. No description. So I asked and the waiter's eyes literally brightened. He explained it as like nehari but better. He said that definitively. What was I to do?

I met a couple of girlfriends out for dinner and drinks Saturday night at Aldente Cafe and Lounge. It was about 8:30PM when we walked in and the place was pretty empty. We started at the bar and ordered glasses of wine. I asked the bartender what he would recommend and he commented that he didn't drink wine so he couldn't recommend anything. A bartender that doesn't drink wine? I might not think anything of it in a bar but at a restaurant? OK. I ordered a Chianti and after a couple of sips we moved over to our table.

I went through a phase where I was eating lunch at OYSY often. Then I had a bad super-white-tuna lunch special that really didn't sit well. I figured it was an unlucky meal but hadn't gone back since.
Roughly 6 months later I was wandering around looking for lunch and figured I'd try it again. I was part in the mood for sushi and part wondering whether I'd been just unlucky that once and since I hadn't mentioned that meal here I figured this time, I'd mention my lunch.

One of the perks we envisioned upon moving to Edgewater was the proximity to Devon and all of the Indian and Pakistani restaurants that we'd be able to order delivery from. Shortly after we moved in we went to Devon and started collecting menus from our favorite places, as well as from those on our list of places to try. Unfortunately, to our great disappointment, none of them would deliver. They claimed it wouldn't taste as good.

Just north of the WI/IL border is the Mars Cheese Castle. It's giant
sign, a beacon to some. It's a landmark that can clue you in to the real
place to go.
Drive past the castle and head back towards the southbound
entrance ramp and just before you get on the highway, pull off to the right into the
lot of Bobby Nelson's. You've found sausage nirvana.
The sign should resonate. You know you've found something. From cheese
curds and port wine cheese to aged cheddar you'll find it. Pickled
stuff, jams and jellys it's all there. All the typical Wisconsin items
are there– syrups, gift items etc.

Bismillah is off of Devon, running south on Ridge. I drive past it often enough for it to come to mind when I'm thinking of a nearby new place. Having finally been there, I can cross it off my list.
Mind you, I ordered take-out and was limited to one dish– nehari. I added 4 small pakora (for a buck!) and a Pakola, a very tasty fragrant soda from Karachi. The pakora was good and I managed to eat them all by the time I got home. I was pretty grumpy (very late night at work) and maybe that contributed to me not unpacking my dinner properly.

SO I see this morning that I got about 1500 hits as of 8AM regarding langostino. Apparantly Senator Olympia Snow is causing a stir about calling them lobster.
I find it odd that there isn't anything more important going on politically this morning but so be it.
Is this what the fuss is about?
