Pizza D.O.C.

Pizza DOC is a local spot. The place was absolutely mobbed on a Saturday night but in spite of that the service was great. The pizza on the other hand was not.

The claim to fame, given the restaurant’s name, should be the wood oven baked pizzas. The problem is that they are limp, have little smoky flavor and jumpers for sale are topped with mediocre ingredients. Maybe it was my ignorance but the promise of “fresh” porcini mushrooms on a wood fired pizza seemed like a no brainer.
